Design Tip: White Kitchens
White kitchens seem to be making a come back as we move back into simplicity in design, but white kitchens need not be a harsh space. By blending hints of natural wood, brushed brass and stainless steel equipment into it; all-white kitchens become anything but hard or mundane. Bring in warm wood accents on counters and shelves, oversize basket weave chandeliers and runners or rugs. When adding bar stools to islands, consider a more textured chair or stool (such as a weave or a rattan back) for around the island. A really hot trend right now is to move away from smooth metro white tiles, and use slightly textured ceramic tiles to create diversity and interest in an all white kitchen. Here are some great white kitchens with warm accents, to inspire you.
