Teenage bedroom makeover

This was a small bedroom, and a tight budget - with the built in wardrobes in the wrong place meaning she could not utilize the space well. She had also outgrown the desire to have bunk beds. We pulled out the wardrobes and created a clean shell, with a grey accent wall. Light grey laminate floors went in, with wide skirting boards to feel open and new white wardrobes were assembled. To warm up the flooring we chose a thick shaggy pile rug. Vinyl wall art was purchased in our chosen color theme of birds and branches to match the new Roman blind bird fabric, along with a bird cage suspended from the ceiling. We upcycled furniture as a dresser and bedside table with crystal knobs and fresh grey paint. Finally we created a teenage pin board with cork tiles for photos of her favorite moments.
